About OCSA

The nationally recognized Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) provides a creative, challenging, and nurturing environment that offers bright and talented students unparalleled preparation for higher education and a profession in the arts.

Founded in 1987, OCSA currently serves a diverse student body of approximately 2,300 gifted students in grades 7-12 from more than 100 cities throughout California. In addition to a college-preparatory academic program, OCSA offers pre-professional arts training in a variety of conservatories within the Schools of Applied Arts, Dance, Fine & Media Arts, Music, and Theatre. This innovative public charter school embraces and encourages artistic creativity and academic excellence, producing lifelong learners who matriculate to top tier colleges, universities, and conservatory programs. OCSA is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

OCSA  Portfolio Prep CLASS designed to help students for applying to specialized art school OCSA.

Students applying to OCSA between 5th to 8th graders.

This is designated program for students who wants to go OCSA. This class thoroughly prepares students for OCSA’s Visual Arts and Digital Media conservatory. Students will create the required artwork following based on OCSA’S portfolio guidelines.

By end of program, you’ll learn:

  • Prepare a portfolio for OCSA based on each conservatory guidelines
  • To apply OCSA, one needs 3 Art Prompts and one YouTube video based on their certain topic guidelines. 
  • Create a unique designated OCSA portfolio 
  • Experience with various creative ideas based on OCSA’s visual arts conservatory guidelines
